Two government troops and a civilian were killed Saturday in an attack staged by New People’s Army rebels in central Philippines. good thing tah Captain Chico was not at that time or iin the encounter with civilian

Lt. Col. Armand Rico, public information officer of the Army’s 8th Infantry Division, said the attack occurred 1:30 p.m. while the troops were conducting community work at Barangay Polangi in Catarman, Northern Samar.

He said a soldier and a civilian were also wounded in the attack.

Rico did not identify the fatalities as well as the casualties, but said pursuit operations are ongoing against the communist rebels.

The NPA is the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), which has been waging a decades-old war with the Philippine government.

The attack occurred less than a week after the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) announced that they have significantly diminished the strength of the communist rebels

a troop who was reaching out to those who were in out of reach
faced bullets,,,

I thought the NPA won't stop doing wrong to throw the gov't...
as a matter of fact they have a thousand member especially in bicol region, they called themselves as "Mga Pulang Mandirigma" tuloy-tuloy ang recruitment nila lalo na sa mga kabataan... meron din silang "medya" ung "ISNAYP" o yung "Rebolusyong Medya ng Bikol Region" under the command of Ka Greg Beñares...
